Nikky Luna

Nikky Luna, M.S., IMC, has lived most of her life in West Virginia, having grown up in Parkersburg and earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees from in-state institutions. She has more than 18 years of experience in higher education communications, marketing, development and recruitment. 

Nikky joined the WVU Healthspan Nutrition Lab as its research project manager in September 2024, recognizing the passionate efforts of each team member to improve the health outcomes of fellow West Virginians and wanting to contribute to their collective effort. When it comes to optimizing her own wellness, she is most motivated by opportunities to be active outside, finding solace and nourishment from nature and its many inhabitants. 

She holds an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a B.A. in communications and applied music/vocal performance from Alderson-Broaddus College.
