The nutrition coaches will help you focus on your why. Their role is to help you find the motivation within yourself to define and reach your health and wellness goals. Together, you'll identify barriers and create reasonable steps to overcome them.
During the study you will have several sessions with a nutrition coach. The number of sessions you have will depend on your study group and can range from four to 20 throughout the course of the year-long study. Sessions with your coach will typically last 15 to 20 minutes. Coaches are here to help provide support in setting, reaching, and maintaining your goals. They can provide different resources and information to help.

What does a typical nutrition coaching session look like?
A typical session starts with a quick review of any previous goals, your progress with those goals, and any challenges you may have. The nutrition coach can then help you modify your goal or set a new goal. They will also help you set up a plan to meet your goal.
Our coaching sessions are ‘patient directed,' meaning you’re in the driver’s seat for navigating the direction of each visit so you can think of your coach as your co-pilot. During the session the coach could share or review information on topics like:
- Navigating the grocery store for budget friendly, nutritious finds
- Planning nutritious meals that are quick, easy, and delicious
- Approaches for eating away from home
- Creative solutions to increase intake of certain foods
- Strategies to help you decrease intake of certain foods
- Simple solutions to adding or increasing physical activity
- Smart swaps for snack and beverages
